I’m a sports fanatic!

Football a.k.a Soccer:

I’m a Manchester United Supporter. I’ve supported them for as long as I can remember. I don’t limit myself to just liking them as I am a football fan but when they are playing it doesn’t matter how much I like the other team I want Man Utd to win.

Teams I like would be: Reading, Sunderland, Sheffield United, Celtic, Wolves.

Of course I also have favourite players. Within Man Utd they would be: Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael da Silva, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Nani.

From other clubs they’d be: Nuno Gomes,Kevin Doyle, Shane Long, Fernando Torres, Niko Krancjar, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Lucas Podolski  and many more. . . . .

On the international front I of course support the Republic of Ireland. However, as of late they have not been quailfying for the finals of major tournaments and therefore for those tournaments I support Portugal mainly followed by Germany and Russia.

Tennis:

I really only watch men’s tennis, and of that I would predominately watch the singles.

My favourite tennis player would have to be Rafael Nadal. I’ve followed his career for many years now. Winner of Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year he has claimed his rightful place as the No.1 player in the world overtaking Roger Federer. His passion and determination to win every point is inspiring and his attitude is something to be admired.

Other players I like: Andy Roddick, Igor Andreev, Fernando Verdasco, Feliciano Lopez.

Other:

Other sports that I wouldn’t turn off if they came on the T.V are: Rugby, Golf, Darts, Snooker, Horse Racing, Table Tennis and at times Weightlifting and Curling.

Sports I play:

I play a bit of Tennis and Hockey. I also do Kempo Karate.
